We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Manager to join our team at Galston Retirement Living Village. Nestled in the peaceful surrounds of Galston, Rowland Village offers serene country living paired with modern comfort. In this position, you will lead the delivery of maintenance, gardening, and general support services that help keep our village safe, welcoming, and beautifully maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver reactive and planned preventative maintenance across the village.
- Perform general repairs including patching, painting, lighting replacement, and basic building upkeep.
- Maintain gardens and grounds to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Coordinate contractor visits, manage preventative maintenance schedules, and maintain accurate logs.
- Complete all documentation and system processes accurately and on time.
- Support daily village operations and engage positively with residents.
- Support and mentor small maintenance and gardening team.
About You:
- Previous maintenance experience and competent, safe use of tools.
- Construction Industry White Card, plus Asbestos Awareness training.
- Compassion, patience, and respect for older people and those from diverse backgrounds.
- Interest in Retirement Living and willingness to learn fire alarm isolation procedures.
- Certificate III or equivalent experience; trade qualification desirable but not essential.
- Computer literacy, ability to wear the required uniform, and understanding of veterans’ needs.
